1. Forum search option. This way we can avoid new members asking the same question over and over again.
2. Kibitzing. I am suggesting this because this forum lacks the first suggestion, so I apologize is this has been posted before. However, I think it would be a nice thing to have an "allow kibitzing" checkbox for challenge games (tournaments too?). Basically (I am now speaking as a programmer) this checkbox can be used for two things by programming one thing: create a "game forum" feature, where anyone can comment the game. When "allow kibitzing" is on, anyone can post to the forum during the game and anyone can read it. When the option is off, people can post after the game is over. Could be usefull for post-game analysis if everything else fails..
3. RSS. Why don't we have this? RSS for monitoring player games (my own, or someone else's for that matter) or individual games, tournaments, announcement forum.. This would probably take some load off the QA server too.
How do you all feel about these?

it is a free site...cannot expect miguel to spend all his time working on things we all want...it is a good site the way it is..miguel will add what he thinks is good in his own time ( avatars ?..ladders ? )..

I am aware that this is a free site, and this is the best chess site I've ever seen! But it CAN always be better..
And I am not making this request because I want them to be done ASAP, I just want to know that Miguel has a TODO list somewhere with these features on it. I think they would be valuable additions to QA and would bring more members, and in the end, probably more donations too, which is good for QA (i.e. all of us).
Besides, things like forum search and avatars are normally quite easy to implement, I don't think this would take much of Miguel's time..but I'm sure he'll correct me

Kibitzing is inappropriate for any rated game because the players might read the discussion.

Then why not have that option for unrated games only? We could have discussions about certain variations and whole openings, possibly even attached to a single move?
But you do agree it would be an interesting feature on the site?

Until I get a forum search option ready, be aware that you can use google to search the forums. For example, if you want to search for "Najdorf", enter the following at google.com:
site:queenalice.com Najdorf
