Dear Miguel,
In the forum index:
http://www.queenalice.com//forums.php
When someone change or post, the forum is marked with a star.
It would be nice if in this page also appear the name of the last person who post in the forum.
For example, it would look like:
New Forum Topics Posts Last
Announcements 58 619 Miguel
* Feature Requests 374 2362 beco
Help & Support 372 1754 zoki74
* Chess Discussion 282 2574 Togoychess
Chess Articles 51 266 anyone4chess
Match Discussions 61 1992 dilucia
Off Topic 161 1347 Tewald
This way we can save time when we see that we already read the post from that person, without need to click to check again because it has a star.
It would also be nice if the star desappear immediately after we read some new post, though.

Well, thinking again, it would be even better if:
It appear also the name of the last topic(s) with links to it...
Then, the Index Page would be really a useful page to give lots of information in one place.
It will look like this, following this suggestion:
(New) Forum Topics Posts Last
(_) Announcements 58 619 Miguel
News and information about this site posted by the administrator.

Also, on the point of stars when people post - are they meant to go away once the particular post is read? Cause if so that doesn't work for me...the stars stay there even when I've accessed the posts!

I'm not sure exactly when the stars go away but they seem to if I close my browser and come back to the site.

Beco, I support indicating who last posted in a forum in the index. Any further information would lead to interface clutter.
