As of today, Google is giving the site a page rank of 4 over 10, which I'm sure all will agree is a big improvement (it was 0 over 10 before!).
The higher the rank the closer to the top the site will appear in user searches. Let's hope the rank keeps increasing!

First - sorry my english! Now...
It is not all about the links. Links are external optimisation of the site. However, the first page must include one, two, or maximum three keywords (competitive keywords) more times. These keywords must bolded, used in <H1> and <H2> tags and used in the title of the page... and so on (internal optimisation).
Then... it takes 6-8 months for google (after the internal optimisation) to increase the SERP (search engine ranking position). It is a so-called "Sand Box" effect for the new (optimizated) sites.
To can see the SERP of your site use: http://www.google.com/ie?q=&num=100&hl=en and you'll see your position because, of course, you site is highlated as visited before... Use kwyword phrases like "play chess", "correspondence chess", "chess online" etc... I could not find Queenalice for none of these. For sure, it is the #1 for "Queen Alice Chess", but who search for these?
The PR (page rank) means only a mathematical calculation's result of the PR of the sites that link to it. This is far for being returned as a result for a keyword phrase. It is a lot of theory... like in the Sicilian Defence.
And... Miguel... to get good links you must to create a non-dynaimic page to other sites as well... A page, of course, with a good PR, or at least, often cached by Google.

I forgot to say something very important about the backlinks: open www.yahoo.com and search for: "linkdomain:www.queenalice.com" - you'll get all the pages that link to it (internal and external). You'll see something about 300 (look at the top - results...of about X", now search for the competitive sites: "linkdomain:www.instantchess.com", "linkdomain:www.chessclub.com" ...
So, good luck to this excellent site in making a good external and internal optimisation!!
