I would like a feature that would indicate who is online when viewing the member list.

Ok, I can easily do that, but note that there is no good way to know if a person is online from a web browser, the best I can do is tell you if the person opened a page from the site in the last 5 minutes or so.

That would be great. I guess that's the same technique that the other sites use to do it.

Maybe at the bottom of the page (wherever you are on the site) there could be a 'Users active in the last 5 minutes' list.
