I have read mesages in the past from others stating how slow the site can be at times, I would like to add living here on the west coast of Canada the site can be PAINFULLY slow, too bad because otherwise it is a very good place to play chess. thanks.

Can you please tell me hours and timezone where access is slow? There isn't much I can do about it besides complaining to my hosting provider.

Miguel, I live in the GMT-8 pacific standard time, the hours vary but for the most part it is generally most of the time. It takes me minutes sometimes to connect and then up to a minute to move around the site. Thanks for a otherwise great site.

Well, I'm not really sure what's going on. My provider gave me instructions to run a speed test that uses hosts located all over the world, and I get an average response time of 1.39 seconds.
I'll repeat the test at other times throughout the day.

Is this still a problem? I ran speed tests several times for the last few days and I always get average access times between under 3 seconds from any place in the world.
