I got on the site and noticed a sudden 100 point jump in my rating. Apparently a bunch of my tournament games were claimed for me due to time-expiration. I can see doing this when it is the last game in a round and it's holding up the tournament, but these weren't. I'm still playing the other games. Can we turn off this auto-claiming thing? I was losing most of those games I've now won, I don't deserve the 100 extra pts., and I would have liked to have given my opponents the most chance possible to return. --p

Ok, I'll think about it, maybe I can add some logic to determine if those expired games are the last in the round and if they are not then let them be.

I think the rule should be if you chose you can extend the amount of time they have to put in their move but it should be up to the oppenent who waiting for that person to move.

No, in tournaments the game clock should be the same for all games, you don't want to stall the completion of a round.
Since the beginning of this thread I decided to give a little more time before the system auto-claims tournament games. Before it was waiting only 7 days to claim it, now I changed it to 30 days.

The problem I can see with these is the tournament could take three months easily if there are three rounds in the tourney.
