I was looking at the opening line from a game I'm playing in the opening browser. Very cool feature. Kudos to whoever thought to include that on the site.

But would it be possible to suggest opening lines to add to the browser? For instance, I play the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit a lot, so I know it fairly well. Out of curiosity, I checked the opening browser to see what lines were covered, and it only has 2 of the main lines (Teichmann and Euwe) after the point at which the gambit is accepted. The lines that are missing are popular enough to have their own names, so I figure they're worth mentioning. It also doesn't cover the Ryder Gambit, which is a variation white can play instead of the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit from the same starting moves. Again, it's popular enough to have its own name, so if you want the browser to be really thorough, it should be included.

Can players suggest specific lines to add to the opening browser?

So there's no procedure for suggesting new lines or correcting mistakes in the ones that exist in the opening browser? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Hi Fromper,

I second your suggestion. But for now, I think there is no other way, unless messaging the system admin.

Cheers,
Beco.

If messaging the admin is the way to handle these, I'm fine with that, but it would be nice if an admin said that. Right now, I don't know who's in charge around here to send the message to.

The admin is miguel. If you go to your messages page, there's a link to click to send him a message.
