:P the only thing i ever bought for amazon was chessmaster grandmaster edition just over a week ago.. and i think it already brought up my ranking a 100 points

my first chessbook was "tratado general de ajedrez"by roberto grau

Mine was "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess" where I learned how to count "force" and how to set up attacks. That was an awesome book. :) I still count force today in every game.
