Dear Miguel,
Can you make the star disappear as soon as we click the link "My messages"?
Thanks Beco

Yes please! Ideally, the same would happen for messages in forum threads, too.

As I did organize the National Team Championship, i noticed that there are so many players, who are online, but don,t read their messages. Therefore I fully support this suggestion from Beco. On other sites I play you,ve got a flickering light or "You have .. New Messages" It is very helpfull.

You have probably noticed, but at this point in order to get rid of the stars you need to close your browser (at least if it's Windows Internet Explorer), not just move to another site.

Yes. And it's very annoying -- especially in the forums, where, after having my browser open for a day or so, almost all the forums are marked as containing new messages.
Please can you fix this, Miguel?

Agreed. I waste so much time looking for new posts which simply don't exist
I too have my browser open indefinitely. Logging out and back in again is not an acceptable solution.
Edit: I now discover that I was invited to play in a tournament and yet "My Tournaments" has NO star next to it! The player who invited me had to send a personal message instead, no doubt wondering why I hadn't acknowledged the invitation earlier.
