Would be nice to have the possibility to create double-round private tournaments. For example up to six players.

repost, and I still support it.

Why limit to six players?

Just a suggestion, six players make a nice round number of games. But it could be eight, ten, twelve.. On netchess.com I always play 1 pr.trnm. 12 players at the time (22 games) But on that site, there are even tournaments, all against all, up to 24 players. Gives you 46 games at the same time...
I was just thinking, invite 4 or 5 friends, and play a fair tournament. (which the swiss-system, is not always)

I support that (again).
And double round-robins can make even thematic tourneys fair don't matter the crazy start-position, because you will play with both colors!
Cheers, Beco.

Note that, while the tournament as a whole would be fair, it still wouldn't be right to have the games rated. From the ordinary position, you would expect a high-rated player to beat a low-rated player with both black and white. However, in a very unbalanced starting position, you'd expect the high-rated player to win with the favourable side but draw or maybe even lose with the unfavourable side. Thus, games with unbalanced start positions don't behave like ordinary games and shouldn't be rated like ordinary games.
