What does it mean when a name is listed under the column 'Game' in a Player Games page, and that name is not the player's name?

Just to take an example, look at the games of the player called valdir. Some games are listed with his name, some as Challenge, some as hermanos, some as lusa, etc. Where do these names come from, or to put it another way, how does one 'name a game'?

When you challenge a player you are asked to give the game a name. Also when you create an open game you can give it a name of your choice.

Tournament games get a name assigned by the system, usually formed by the tournament name and the round.
