Topic: How can we make queenalice be searched in google?

When I typed "free chess online" in google and yahoo, i did not see queenalice in the first 100 options.
Any idea how we can increase the rating under this search. This site is the only truly FREE Chess site there is in the web and queenalice should at least appear in the top 20...
I tried linking queenalice to my geocities website, yahoo groups but I don;t know if that helps increase the rating for queenalice in search engines.

Queenalice is a relatively new site, it is going to take time until search engines give it the value it deserves.

Yes, that helps. How much it helps depends on how well your site is positioned in google searches. If your site usually appears at the top of keyword searches, then that adds value to all the sites you link from it.

I had never heard of Queenalice until I found it on Ask Jeeves, First page too.

Ask Jeeves is the evolutionary evolved version of google. So Google is equivalent to Socrates while Jeeves is like Voltaire. Google = Paul Morphy, Jeeves = Kasparov. Google = Isaac Newton, Jeeves = Proffessor Hawking, allright you get the idea.
Try "free chess correspondance online" that may help.

So, since I like Socrates, but not Voltaire, I should avoid Jeeves? OTOH, I really like P. G. Wodehouse, too, and since he's the original creator of Jeeves (the butler, not the site)...

One good way to make Queen Alice found in google is all of us that have sites (webmasters) or at least a single home-page, make a link to Queen Alice.
It is very easy... You just need to go to the "Help" section and copy-paste the code you like.
I just have made a link in my chess site. Have a look at:
http://www.geocities.com/pag_sax/
Like it? This is searched by google engines and count to upgrade the importance (relevance) of Queen Alice as a chess site.
