I like the THINK MODE (TM)--but,
"think" this through: in TM when
you enter all moves to include
en passant capture, the captured
Pawn does not disappear-what am I
missing here?! :-)

When you are in "think mode" whatever moves you make are not validated, think of it as just a board with pieces that you can move in any way you like.

It has been discussed that a mode in which moves are validated and castling, promotions and en-passant captures are correctly done, but I haven't come up with a good way of handling both modes of operation yet.

Thankyou miguel! I actually 'solved'
the problem myself. To remove the
'offending' pawn, I just captured it
on the board with another piece. By
manipulating the pieces back and forth
I was able to restore the position.
Quite truly a fun thing to 't-h-i-n-k'
and process through.

Or you could just move the Pawn back a square and capture it with the opposing Pawn.

Onceupon--where were you when
I needed you--ha! And I was so
"proud" of my accomplishment.
I overlooked the very obvious.
Many thanks.
