I support this idea. I like the blitz game too for 1, 5, 10 and 15 minutes game with a rating on it.

I've never seen more than 110 people logged into the site. Your chances of finding somebody here when you're logged in who wants to play blitz at the same speed as you against somebody with about your rating is negligible. Correspondence chess only works because you and your opponent don't have to be logged in at the same time.
Programing blitz here would be a *huge* effort, equivalent to adding a whole new (non-chess-related) game.

The whole idea of Queen Alice would be changed if there were blitz games.

I agree, that is I would not be in favour of Blitz games here at QueenAlice.com. certainly not as priority over a few small enhancements to the 'Correspondence Chess' ie: for me (3 days per move Tournament option). This has become one of my favourite sites for 'Correspondence Chess' and I feel Blitz would only dilute what is an excellent site. There are number of free sites where you can play Blitz (I know of at least 6).
