I tried Gameknot but I left that websight didn't like alot of things I was seeing going on like the players using delay and postpone tactics when the position is difficult to prevent a loss you know dragging the game out for weeks and months :( cheating with a computer engine like shredder or deep fritz (c) that's a sin against Chess I don't like that or accept this.

I play on two other sites.
You can play for free with limitations,
but this site seems to have a better feel to it. I don't use computers at all and look for players near the 1000 rating for now to see where I fall, and I hope to eventually start playing stronger players as I get better. So far, I have had the most fun here.

i was playing in gameknot for quite sometime before I quit that site since it is forcing its non-paying members to register. unfortunately, that site is the most popular online chess right now and have a pretty good bunch of international players.
i like playing here in queenalice as it is the only real FREE ONLINE CHESS (thanks to miguel).
I suggest you advise your buddies in gameknot to join queenalice as well. I just did this last week for the club that i joined in that website :) This way more and stronger players joing queenalice too.
