Congrats to Tewald and everyone over 1000 complete games.
When I notice his posting that he had 1000 complete games I boosted that I would reach 2000 games before him. Some players did not take me seriously. I had only 1 game at the time and he he had 1036. To achieve my goal I would need to play 1999 games before Tewald played 964 games. That was a ratio 2.06
Presently I have 1594 games and Tewald has 1493 games. I have to finish .801 games for everygame Tewald completes.

Why engage at all in this foolery?
Where's the sense or the esteem in racing through as many games as possible on a correspondence chess site? One might just as well set up hundreds at a time and resign them immediately.

So I still have 700 games on him, but he has almost 300 rating points on me. I'd rather have fewer games but have a higher (deserved) rating.

Onceupon: My main purpose is to become a better over the board player. I do all the analysis in my head. I made it over 1800 USCF for the first time. All this experiance helps.

Copied from Most completed games discussion.
I, phystutordotcom, confess that my endgame practice has inflated my completed games total. Since they average less than 10 moves a game they require less effort than a 40 or 60 move game. However improving my endgame play in over the board play is important to me. I acknowledge that those that claim I dont deserve to be in the top 50 have a point.
