1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 g6 3. f4 Bg7 4. Nf3 Nc6 5. Bb5 Nd4 6. d3 Qa5 Standard sicilian grand prix. Blacks sixth move has pinned the c3 knight to the king, so the bishop on b5 is hanging and attacked. Whites options are
( 1 ) Bc4 Nxf3+ gxf3 ( not Qxf3 ) b5 ( balanced )
( 2 ) a4 loses to Nxb5 ( the a pawn is pinned to the rook )
( 3 ) Ba4 loses to Nxf3+ gxf3 Bxc3+ bxc3 Qxa4
( 4 ) Nxd4 loses to cxd4 where the pinned knight is lost for a pawn
( 5 ) Bd2 or Qd2 loses the bishop to Nxb5 Nxb5 Qxb5

7. Ne5 Missing the pin
Nxb5 8. O-O Nxc3 9. bxc3 Qxc3 10. Bd2 Qd4+ 11. Kh1 Bxe5 0-1
