Hi all...

Is there a way to give a take back to a new player? I invited a friend to join the site and we were playing a game. In attempting to castle, he moved the rook first.

Is there a way to give a 'do over' for a new site user error?

Thanks, Dluxe

I assume this means his rook is stuck on d8 or f8 and his king is left uncastled?

There's nothing you can do, BUT... you can arrange that manually.

For instance, you should arrange the following:

5. ... Bd4 6. Ke2 Bb6 7. Re1 Bc5 8. Kf1 Bb6 9. Kg1 Bc5 10. Rf1

After that, you've reached the same position you should have reached and it's your move (as it should have been).

Note that Bd4-b6-c5 was necessary in order to triangulate the position, so that at the end of the variation, it's your move.

I'm afraid there's no easier way. :-/

Yes ... I can see what's happening now.

Never mind ... by the way ... I'm a terrible bridge player!

Of course there's something you can do. Tell him to read the rules of chess :-)
