Hey Miguel,
A database containing games that were played on QA between "high-rated players" would be nice.
I take this idea from ICC, which is an online server for playing chess. What they do is they have a database to which games are added (automatically) if they meet certain criteria (where either player was titled (WGM, IM, GM) or if both players were rated 2300+ and etime > 3) (something like that, I don't remember the details, but that's not the point).
It would be nice if such a database was built automatically here. For instance, all games between players rated 2200+ or 2300+ could be put in the database. There could be a search function for openings and such...
You can get a glimpse of how it works on ICC here: http://www.chessclub.com/help/search
I think it could be very nice... for instance, it could be used as a studying aide for openings, or even for tactics or something, you know? Or just to look at games... I like to look at games.
Presumably it wouldn't be too hard to implement, since all the games are already stocked somewhere on the server... you'd probably just have to add a condition on the tables, and then build some interface around it...
Anyway, if you don't understand what I mean, just let me know.
