Well, if I understand correctly where "his part of the world" is, I would think it would be kind of dangerous to be calling yourself "the opposition"; does he speak out about communism? If so, I would consider him a hero (although its not good for your health or your family's health to do so).
Ya, I guess his fame is a sort of protection; but even that is no guarantee. Alot of times "opposition movements" are a good way to find out who your enemies are.
