There is a think I do really miss: an automated notation of the variants played in think mode. Currently I am doing this manually in the private notes form everytime I want to save my possible future moves done while in think mode.
I know, this is a hard javascript job to do, but as you did the interactive board that great, I trust in you! :-D
(I think it is not necessary to implement a check for legal moves there as well)

I have some improvements planned for the think mode. Luckily your request goes well with my plans.
The Think mode will have the option to validate your moves, you will be able to play both sides to create variations that can be stored as comments in your private notes (your idea) or as conditional moves (my idea). Pawn promotions, castling and en passant captures will be supported as well.
