I want to know who is the best player here and by what margin. There is too much uncertainty in a swiss. The best player might finish 3rd or 4th. In addition to our open championship I want a closed championship. I want one 20 player event started every 3 months. From Jan 1 to Jan15 members could request entry. once there was 20 players you would have to higher rated than wekest of the 20 to request entry. You would displace the 20th player. The top 20 players to request entry before Jan15, 2012 would play play an event structured like the auto open tournament.
I would sign up as early as possible and see if I could last 24 hours before being displaced by better players.
Better yet if 300 players sign up we could have a tournament for every set of 20 players. For example 261 - 280 would be in 14th section of this event.
If an overwhelming number of members endorse my request Miguel might make this a holiday gift to his QA members.

We could start a never ending Pyramid Ladder Tournament. This could be our member ranking.

I AGREE WITH THE PYRAMID LADDER BUT I WISH IF THE JOINING WILL HAVE SOME CONDITIONS LIKE ;
-PLAYER WHO WANTS TO JOIN THE LADDER MUST FINISH 50 GAMES BEFORE HE CAN JOIN.
-THE CHALLANGES CAN'T BE DECLINED.
-MAX SIMULTANEOUS GAMES 2 (1 WITH BLACK and 1 WITH WHITE)
-ETC.

Please remember I primary goal is to detrermine accurately who the best player on QA is. If someone consistently scores 120% of second place He is the best.

In a Pyramid Ladder you do not have scores just rankings. You will find the best player on the highest ranking. Very easy :-)
