I am trying to teach my grandson, age 10,to play chess. He is an early reader, which mean he now reads at high-school level or higher. I am wonder what might be a good book for him to read. I am thinking of Jeremy Silman's book How to reassess your chess. Comments and or suggestion would be helpful. Thanks

Silman does not teach intro level chess. I don't even grasp most of what he teaches. If your grandson is learning then best to play lots of games.

I suggest these books:
How to play the chess openings - by Eungene A. Znosko-Borovsky
Secrets of Practical Chess - John Nunn
My 160 Memorable Games - Fischer, Robert

Dogeval, I think it is my 60 Memorable games.

Were added games played from 1956 to 1992 in another book, including a match against Spassky in Sveti Stefan.

Well, NimbleKnight, you know how it goes: Someone famous passes away and everything they did gets exaggerated... :-(O)
