Chess was originally played over boards by two players who could see each other and estimate their opponents also from their personal performance. I think internet-chess should offer as much of these oldtimes' advantages as possible. QA-players do not have to make public neither their gender, their age, their nationality nor their location. Such information made open to other players would in no way affect a person's privacy, but is nevertheless for me something I like to know about my opponents, just to be able to make in my mind a kind of picture of the person I play with. It won't affect my lousy rating, that's so, but maybe add a little social value to the game. As I can see, most players reveal such information, or some of it, voluntarily, but many do not, and that is a pity. I would like to see that revealing information of the said kind for other players should be made mandatory for membership at QA.

Those that want to can add such info to their profiles.

Some players lie about themselves. I played a game against a 25 yr old female who became a 50+ male a few months later! Advanced sex change!!

I'm back!!! Hey were has my conversation with my loyal British subjects gone? And what about that Dutch cheesehead, what was his name again? MrBJ or something. I guess he is busy making the roads of Europe unsafe in his caravan! Well, hopefully the Brits have developed a sense of humor (right, looking at you sovay!) and we can all become fast friends now that the unpleasantries are out of the way. But please stop using a computer to predict your moves, it's obvious and you're only hurting yourself. (Looking at you again sovay.)Slainthe mhaith everybody!

Looking at your info, youre from nowhere. (but I'm sure youre welch or scottich)
You're afraid of letting people know a little bit about yourself. It's more easy to insult people anonymus, is'nt it c6?

The worst is accusing persons you never played against. You, 'c6' never played a game against 'savoy'. Or can you see his chesscomputer from your bedroom window?
