I regret my comment,"Do you think your arguements convince anyone." That comment was rude. I am happy that you poste another reply to these endgames. I am convinced that I must become the master of this rubbish if I am to become a chess master (USCF > 2200 aprox 2100 fide). I believe that Master is a reasonable goal for me. To become a Master I must score 75% against players who presently score 75% against me. In the US some players call the inability to play endgames effectively experts disiesee. Expert is one class below master and I made expert briefly. I wont become a master without improving my endgame skill. I post these endgames to practice them.

I confess that I often make mistakes posting these diagrams. I correct most of my mistakes immediately when the diagram posted is different than the one in the book. However some mistakes dont get corrected quickly. I checked #225 and it is the same as my book.

I use this spce as a scratch pad. It helps me to get the fen correct. when the diagram looks correct I use highlight the fen and copy it below. I then copy it into the position box when I challange players. I have started 5 games from position #225. I have not finished any of these games. But my analysis is John Hall is correct. With best play the game is drawn. And the draw is difficult. In an over the board, otb, setting if white is not a master black has an excellent chance of queening a pawn. Winning the Q vs Rook ending requires master skill (against best defense) Expert vs expert otb every result is possible from this position. Hence the phrase expert's desiese.

On multiple occassions, I have challanged every QueenAlice player above 1800 who had more than 10 games in proigress and was accepting challanges at game/10 d. roughly 200 players. Only about 10 of those plaeyers will practice these endings with me. I am frustrated becuase I have made the effort to learn fen all they need to do is play the game.

We disagree on the outcome of #225. Some readers may think I am right. Some readers may think you are right. More readers will think you are right if we played out this game and you won. If I am lucky you comments have cuased several readers to doubt my assesment. I hope that those who doubt my assesment will challange me. I will then have more people to practice with. And I will thankyou for your help.

The most important question is not weather the stated assesment of thes positions is correct. The most important question is do they frequently occur in master vs master play. If they do frequently occur, then practicing them ahead of time is important.

I have noticed that senior master, uscf > 2400 roughly equivalent to IM) understand these positions. Experts do not. I hope that mastering these positions will help me become a master.

That's a nice comment you wrote, but nobody gives a shit about your USCF rating. It does not make you better and more believible in posting this wrong endgame studies. Every chess beginner can see that, for example, my comments I wrote on pos.225, that there are a lot of mistakes on the endgame study, which you are so kind to offer us.
I am not a very good chess player, but I would be glad to play this mister "John Hall" in these games. I am sure that I do better then the comments you write in the diagrams.
Personally I think my arguments confince a lot of chess-lovers.
Today again, you post;
#227 White draws moderate
(AFTER READING MY COMMENTS; DON'T REMOVE IT NOW AS YOU DID THE OTHER TIME TO MAKE ME LOOK FOOLISH)
For God's sake; How?
White to move. OK
No matter what white does,(has to be a move with the King), black plays Rc7, next eats the pawn,(the A pawn can't go the seventh line.) next go to the a line, and next eat the other pawn. Conclusion:
White draws moderate, NO
BLACK WINS VERY EASY

It will be my policy only to discuss the methods of achieving the stated result with my study partners after they have had a go at the position. I have checked 227 and I copied it correctly. I respect your preverence not to challange me with these endgames. Your other options include viewing my games. I have already achieved a draw (or atleast an obvious draw) from this position. Another option is to buy the book and read the solution. The ISBN is 1-880673-98-3

No,
The other option is that you or Mr.Hall tell me right now where I am wrong in my conclusions.
I'm sure you can't and are too much afraid of admitting it.!
