Ra6 third row defence. Black stays on the third until e6 then Ra or b1 then check like a banche 1/2 1/2.

I am especially interested in how often you(the QA community uses these positions in thier play. I think I have used both in over the board play atleast once. I use them frequently in my endgame practice. But my recent endgame practice has yet to pay dividends in over the board play. However, I have not been playing very many over the board games lately. So it is too soon to evaluate the impact of these positions on my play.
