Dear all,
Maybe there are to much computation required from the server to keep this site alive. I dont know the cause of this, but from a few days to today, the site is becaming very slow...
Every thing we can do to keep this site fast, we should try. Some limits can help...
For example, what about limit the number of games per person to, lets say, 50 ?
Is this the case? If the problem could be solved by this, I shall sugest, but we need to know if this really can help, first of all.

So, first of all: there are more people who noticed a decline in speed? Difficult to make login, difficult to load the "My games" page, and so on?

The site is extremely slow now, and has been getting slower and slower for several days.
Today, it took over a minute just to get the home page to load, and then it came up all white instead of the white and beige color combo. This changed back to the right colors when I got into this forum.
I've noticed that none of my opponents have made moves, and several of them do so daily. Something is terribly wrong with the server or maybe a router somewhere.
Miguel: Can you check into this? The slow down has been going on for several days now, but last night and today the site has been near impossible to get onto - one must be extremely patient, letting it take forever for the web page to load through the browser. I use IE 6, of course.

Another suggestion, if the problem is overload of the server, is to change all users preferences to NOT receive any email.
Making this by "default", minimizes the emails sent. And who really want to receive the emails will go to preferences and set it back.
