should it be possible to create tournaments with existing positions to improve on the game by playing the position with both colours for example gambits or particular variations of an opening so you can improve your game in this opening

Funny that you ask this, I've finished coding the 'starting from a set position' feature last night, I will do testing for a few days and will very likely upload this to the site by the end of the week.
Open games and challenges will have the option to enter the FEN for a starting position. I will also be able to start tournaments with a starting FEN. And I'm also adding a much requested feature: non-rated games, which is a must for set-position games (although I'm not going to prevent rated games from a position, if both players agree to play a rated game I don't see anything wrong with letting them).
