The list of tournaments is quite lengthy and it is difficult for me to know in which ones am I participating. Would it be possible to have an extra colum with a nice bright star that indicates in which tournaments am I participating?
Also, is it possible to list in the stats the tournaments that a person has won with a nice red trophy?
I was thinking in having a separate page called "My Tournaments" where you can see only the tournaments you are participating.
I'm still undecided if I should show a little trophy icon next the name of a player that won a tournament. Do you think that is too cheesy? The list of tournaments won by a player will be shown in his/her stats page, but note that I haven't added that yet. I have at least a couple more weeks until we have tournament winners anyway

No, it is not cheesy... (It is geeky, but not cheesy...) It is just an extra major attraction to the website: EARN AN ICON WITH A TROPHY IF YOU WIN A TOURNAMENT!
Suddenly, when you expect it the least queenalice will be awarding IM and GM norms and overtaking the ICCF... OK... I went too far there...
I think that my suggestion in regards to an extra column with a bright star in front of the tournaments list where the user is participating simplifies your task ten-fold.
