Why does it score tournaments with 2 for a win and 1 for a draw as opposed to 1 for win, 1/2 for a draw?

Maybe Miguel likes hockey. ;-)
It all turns out the same, anyway. It's a matter of percentages: A draw is 50% of a win, and a loss is 0%.

Simply because it is easier (and faster) for the server to keep track of integer scores.
