while going through the games of big whales here i noticed ...., i dont know waht to call it.
below r the some of the cases where a unrated player played and earn a rating of 2400+ after wininig it  . ?

although i never care about the rating here but i think that its isnt fair or some thing u say like that ...!!!

Nothing wrong with the rating system in the games you mention! If an unrated player defeats a 2371 player, he will get a rating 400 points higher - 2771. This is working correctly, but it IS inflationary!!

What is the point to receive rating you don´t deserve. Everybody can win a game against a highranked player, if he/she have a bad day. The ranking has to be a result of many games, to prove the existans.

If you have access to all games and scores, and tournments (and Miguel has), you can first:
* state that starting from today, every body has 800 points as rating.
* Starting from this principle, you can read all played games in Queen Alice so far, taking in account the dates of the games, and automatically recalculate all ratings seeing who won who, in wich time...
* After some days (hours?) of calculations, everybody will have a new rating, that could be provisory if you dont have finished 25 games, or permanent if you had already finished 25 games and so on. This new rating will have in common that everybody started with a low 800 rating and started playing...
* After that recalculation for everybody, the new users should allways start with 800 rating, no matter the case, and then follow the equation that is used already here to grow the rating.
I am saying this because the way the rating grows is ok. The only problem seens to be the starting point, or maybe the firsts two or 3 games.
That is my two cents!
