Miguel is it possible to let evryone give op there Elo rating to see who we are playing to

You mean to let players voluntarily enter their FIDE, etc. ratings in their player info page?

I would like to have a option that you can manually lower your own rating.

I would think allowing it to be lowered would be pretty easy for miguel, but then either (1) it would stay static, or (2) as soon as you finished your next game, it would go back as it had been. I think we're probably stuck with using the ratings only as a relative thing, which is all they are anyway. BTW, it appears to me that the rating bloat increases greatly as the rating goes up. At 2163, I am vastly over-rated, while my friend, dlabedz, is not much above what he should be in the 1600s. At any rate, everything else about the site is great.  Well, okay...everything else except when it's out of commission, which is really hard on us addicts.
