Topic: receive a note when your Buddys are online

What would you think about receiving a (pop up?) note when you're online at QueenAlice and one of the folks on your Buddy List enters, too?
Or what about getting a little message when someone puts you on his/her Buddy list? (You wouldn't like to know when someone put you on his/her Ignored List, of yourse :-)

This is one of a few real-time enhacements that I'm evaluating. I really don't want to say much about this yet, because I'm still researching how far I'm going to be able to go and on what browsers. Sort of a top-secret project for now  .
When I have a draft implementation of this technology I will very likely make it available to a small number of users to get some external feedback and testing.

Is this really required? Same as with the ignored list, it seems to me that the buddy list is private to each member. Of course I can be convinced otherwise...
