i have a proposal: i think it could be a good idea creating a "print" button in the chessboard window... so a user can print positions of his own games and study somewhere else (for example.. on a bus... ). I tried to print the page in my browser and also by copying/pasting... in both case result is bad...

Hi fantasigno,
An interesting option is to use any software with this resource like Arena (free downloadable at www.playwitharena.com - warning: in the beta version the print option doesn't work).
You could copy the FEN from QueenAlice and paste it in this software to print the position.
Best regards,
Max

hello max, i considered this option... but my idea is about printing the board "directly" from the queenalice chessboard page...

Current printing of chess boards is evil. You can only print through the print facility of the browser. That doesn't print the squares themselves, just the pieces. I have to draw in my own dividing lines. This problem is on MSIE 7 and FireFox 2.

I'm not saying this is the best way, but what about printing a screen shot? Alt-PrintScreen to take a screen shot of just the browser window, then use paint (or some other image tool) to edit it and cut everything else out (so you don't have to print a ton of stuff) then just print the image that is left

You can configure the printout to include the background colors. Some browsers ignore them by default to save ink.
