Option to specify if a player wants to be paired or not be paired with database users in 'other options'. It's not taking anyone's right to use them it's simply giving people a choice.

Well... I dont think this option will fit in the correspondence chess rules.
What I can suggest to support your idea is to create a new chess variant that states clearly that players playing this variant cannot use any kind of help. And therefore, it will have another rating parallel to the normal variant.
I've seen sites with lots of variants such as bughouse, suiced, and so on. Each variant has its own rating system.
Cheers, Beco.

I think this would get alot of support there are alot of players who just want to play Chess and not battle somebody's copy of Rybka/Deep Fritz or massive database.

Another site I play on has a variant called 'Advanced Chess' where Engine Use is allowed, and it vas a seperate rating system for it. Maybe that's whay we need

I second that also... It would be nice if we have more options (variants) and different rating systems to compare.

I agree with variants someday it would be nice if their was Fischer Random or Gothic Chess on Queen Alice.
