I like the idea as well.
But I would like to add a few words to Richerby,s
remark earlier last year about unappreciatable pictures.
On another site I play a game were everytime its my turn,
I look at a porks head.
I dont think its funny
and it is disturbing my concentration.
But what happened 30,31 december and 1 januari
on Chesshere is more serious and unbelieveble.
One player got a picture of a white little duck,
yelling "NIGGERS!" at 5 little black duck who are
behind a gauzy fence, like a concentration-camp.
A player who had to play this fellow in the final of a
tournament refused to play, opened a topic and stated that he would rather give-up if the player
would not remove the picture, which was by the way
after a first complain approved by the administrater
Well, it ended-up in a ordinary discussion between
the pro-s and contra-s with insults everywere...
you cannot believe.
Today this topic was removed by the admistrator,
the player got the choice to remove the picture or remove himself
two other players are banned from the site
and I dont know, how many warnings.
Meanwhile, one of the worst, most insulting guy
opened a new topic, with the question to the administator,
in public, why he removed it, as it was called "Social Forum"
already 48 reactions, within a few hours,
and it starts all over again.
If Miguel one day decides to add this possibility,
I hope he is wise and only allows pictures of the players
theirselves, with or without their family,
and only chess related pictures
and of course not white pawns yelling niggers at the black pawns...

It´s a good advertising, Leo. Miguel can draw out usefulness in this experience. And you are not this which you was called out. May be only a dutch living in Portugal.

well i found the picture funny cause it related Social problems in the animal world. It doesn't belong there so for that it's funny. off course i can understand you find this over the hedge. I can also laugh with mohammed, Jezus, the royal family, politics in cartoons. Some things cross the line but most of them are funny.
Pics in profile is not often used when offered so but can make problems. My advise: DON'T and things stay good.
