There is a serious problem with games played with a time limit of x days: rather than lose or accept a draw, a player who is ahead on the clock has an incentive to just keep making moves to drag the game out in the hope that his opponent will lose on time. This would be particularly effective if one of the players was connected to the internet for most of the day (so could move within, say, half an hour) and the other was not (so couldn't often move more than once per day).
In OTB chess, the laws have provisions against this. FIDE Article 10.2 says,
If the player, having the move, has less than two minutes left on his clock, he may claim a draw before his flag falls. He shall stop the clocks and summon the arbiter.
(a) If the arbiter agrees the opponent is making no effort to win the game by normal means, or that it is not possible to win by normal means, then he shall declare the game drawn. Otherwise he shall postpone his decision or reject the claim.

(I've omitted the remainder of Article 10.2, which deals with cases where the Arbiter rejects teh claimed draw.) There is no such provision on QueenAlice.com. This, and the failure of the server to detect dead positions means that a player with a good internet connection could win almost every game he plays at x days per game.

It's a very symply situation, in this cases, everyone choose which tournaments he wants, e.g. with time controls: 3 days/move, or 7 days/move, or 30 days/all, etc...
There is No any problems with thus
Btw., I think, that QA "desperately" needs this...
Zoran = Zoki74 [ = zero tournaments !??!?; for now , hmmm ...; because 7 days/move, this is a "super-slowly" tempo for me, sorry ; therefore I strongly supporting this Databassis idea !]
