I'm sorry to interrupt your discussion about teams with this, but what you are talking here has nothing to do with donations and sounds more like commerce to me.
Donations are a way for members to express their interest in the site staying online by helping to cover the expenses (both hosting and time) required to do so, not a tool to get me to do what you want.
