Hello, Why not have tournaments where you only play 1 game against an opponent. For example, 7 players and 6 games per person!

Each player plays two games against each of their opponents so that they play white in one game and black in one game, to ensure fair colour allocation.

Yes but there are plenty of single round-robin tournaments in the real world. Grandmasters play in them all the time.
Also, there's a slight problem with this kind of simultaneous double round-robin: an unscrupulous player can just copy the moves from one game to the other, ensuring that the points are shared.

i would like to see more narrowly banded tournaments so that the spread is not 400 odd points...this would be tournaments with 200 point ranges between the 1300 and 2000 point levels.

lol, I haven't ever though about that. Now I'm worried about how many players have read it hahaha. Would it be punished someway?
Well, I'd prefer a player doing that then a player computer-assisted.
