Well, maybe another one if not already proposed, Nimzowitsch. Sure the guy had a very great talent and could fared well against anybody at that time, but the main reason he never had a shot to play a Championship Match is that he didn't have the funds necessary to satisfiate either Lasker or Capablanca.
Don't you have any other suggestion? I really appreciate this topic.
