Why soccer, if you have baseball, american football, etc.? ;-)

Some countries just don't have the tradition, India is another example, their most popular sports are, I think, polo and field hockey (similarly with Pakistan), in China there's, for example, table tennis, in Indonesia there's badminton, etc.

But globally, you can't beat football (I'm against the word "soccer"), no other event is followed as much as the football World Cup (I don't think even the Olympics are, which annoys me sometimes), it is played in every part of the World...

Maybe Beckham's arrival in LA will change things a bit in the US, although I doubt it. I just hope they won't one day start naming the Major League Soccer winners as the best team in the World or something.

American football is a weak sport, way too overhyped and overate does it. Allthough I don't care about baseball at all I wish the Japan and the England would play against us in the "WORLD" series. How can you say world series if it be just America vs. intself? Why not have a Shenzhen team, for example, face the Yankees in the world series? Or a Tokyo team vs. a London team? This be a REAL world sport me thinks :D Until then my baseball interest is non-existent to the point of when on tv I see a nuisence.

Polo is a sport almost entirely for the aristocracy. But you forgot cricket, which is *massively* popular in India and Pakistan
