And Beco of course, who only like to WORK, WORK, WORK

Well, "like" is not the appropriate word here. :-D
Now, directly from my lab, where I'm going to spend all night today, here what is inside my MP3 flash card:
Blind Guardian, Guns n' roses, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Rammstein and now playing The Doors.

I don't know the other guys, but I think it is impossible study listening to samba.

I like Zeca Pagodinho, good lyrics, and some old stuff like our country music, but the problem is that I keep following the music and cannot concentrate.

And from Holland I love a lot of musics. I like very much the "Het Eind Van Het Begin" by Blof. And what about "The listening principles" Kijken voorbij hoe de tijd gaat.

And Herman Brood 20 years of rock and roll! ;)

Cheers,
Beco.

Well Beco,I must see I am surprised of your knowledge of the dutch music. Everywere I meet people who know, or heard about Golden Earring (Radar love),Shocking Blue (Venus), and the instumentals, Candy Dulfer, Ekseption, Focus. But music in the Dutch language? Got some tips for you if you ever get the chance to find it; De Dijk, De Kast, Doe Maar, Klein Orkest and The Scene. Very nice easy listening music was made by Herman van Veen, in fact he is a Cabaretier.
About Herman Brood and his Wild Romance, born in my hometown, I don,t miss one single song from him in my collection. It was more likely 30 years of rock&roll. Before he started his "Wild Romance" he played in several other dutch bands. He begon with Cuby and the Blizzards from my city, which actually scored a small hit in the States with "Window of my eyes" Got famous though with the first songs of his own band; "Rock and Roll junkie" "Saturday night" "Still believe" and "Dope sucks". Why he wrote the last one I never understood as he had it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and in between. He was also a very talented painter. His his paintings are nowedays unpayable after he jumped, a couple of years ago, on his 50th.birthday, from the balcony at the 8th.floor of the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam.
Herman is no more, Amen.

I don't have anything by De Kast... :-(
But the other stuff, very nice tips!

I specially like Muzikanten dansen Niet by De Dijk. And let us not forget Hans de Booij! %-)

Now some tips for you for brazilian musics: O Grande Encontro (you can have the number I, II or III, everyone is great), by Alceu Valença, Elba Ramalho, Geraldo Azevedo and Zé Ramalho.

They also have great CD's solo.

Cantoria by Elomar, Geraldo Azevedo, Vital Farias and Xangai.

And the masters of MPB and Bossa Nova: Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Elis Regina, Vinicius de Moraes and Toquinho. You can find more about all this musicians at wikipedia, specially in the Bossa Nova page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bossa_nova

Have fun!
Beco.

PS. I know better dutch beer than music. ;)

Got a finnish friend on this site, who use REINDEER MILK as dope...plays very well...at least much better then me...(whats not too difficult the most times) I already tried with
"PS.better dutch beer.."... didn,t work.
Go play chess now with Gal Costa background music, from the other side of the ocean.
Ou talvez Iran Costa,s O Bicho..
