Well, all distribution of weapons to a countries citizen, without a licence, is a important first step. Criminals have always good ways to buy weapons, but why give them a legal way. I think many unneccessary crims can be stoped that way, of course not all. The best way to stop crims is to try create a good social conditions, there all people have economic and social security. You can't be safe, if the skills in the sociaty is too big. Remember, some people seen the crims as a work, to get better condition. Give them not that chance. Some crims give also better power in the sociaty - sad - but how stop them? I have no easy solution. I think policework is neccessary, but in some cases it show only a democratic disadvantage.

Alexandre: In my country we have license to own weapon and most of the people sleeping very well in theirs home. Most of the crims is against banks,enterpreneur a.s.o. I have also noticed that the crims increase, if it be imbalance between the population; bad labour market, unemployment. We have a government right now, in Sweden, as do their best to increase burstings in the sociaty. You can arrest how many criminals as you like, but this is not a solution. Build a decent sociaty insteed and not let the market decide from short-range term.
I am glad to leave in a country without weapons. The crims we may combat with all egals methods, but better if we not give them reasons to do crims. A sociaty with small classification is the only way I see. Another question is of course - was it a crim? You can get different opinion. Respect for every human and his property, if it has been in right way, is not too much to beg for.

Dear Alexandre,
Antonio Gramsci seems to has the right perspective in framing of this question. I convinced that the fight for a classless sociaty is necessary, and the only way to defite economic crims and violents. Right now we have a lot of states, as fight for short-range terms and only go for individual success. All can't succeed, but with solidarity even "losers" can have a feeling of fellowship to the sociaty. In the long run we have to act against all bullying manner and fight for better perspective for all citizens. I'm glad for ever stat as go for it, in different ways. The conditions is of course different.

People with no criminal records are being searched. I did some history research and HITLER before the Holocaust enacted gun control. As it turns out there building FEMA concentration camps here:

basically the right to bear arms is supposed to PROTECT people from criminals or people that would threaten your life, and yes that would include a UN soldier on American soil that would put you in a camp for resisting the New World Order.
