I don't know maybe anybody posted this idea before. But I think it would be interesting to play against strong chess programs without human intervention per correspondence. To this somebody have to create a computer account or even better a automatic program.

*shrug* Why not just play the computer at home?

But the idea was to play against it per correspondence. You must admit that if somebody has an opening database and can move pieces on the board he has much more chances to win it. And play in corresp. chess vs. my own computers is somewhat... problematic.

Just set up your computer to play at X minutes a move. When it makes its move, set up the position on a board and think about it for as long as you want. Then update the board on the computer and ask it for its next move.

Yes, I know it's possible. I only propose such mechanism as at online chess servers. It is fun to tell a pal "Look, I have won this strong computer" and demonstrate the link where it game saved. I know that you say, "create a computer account and play against it" :-D

Well, sorry my opinion. But it's better win a human than a computer. as Kasparov said: "Computers are dumb, they don't think, don't think in the position, just make caculation"
I really don't care if someone user computer against me, I know that i'm really much better, and if you use I will probaly know!

best Regards.
