Should Queen Alice offer chess variants, such as Fischer chess (Chess960) and Alice chess?

Almost certainly not. There are many improvements to be made to the site which would have to take priority over things like that.
I think we have an awkward situation at Queen Alice. It seems donations are needed to help fund some major developments, whilst at the same time members are perhaps reluctant to offer anything before they see a number of significant changes.

I'm sorry, but I can't help but wonder how many of the 3000 active members of the site have discussed with you their thoughts on donations and site improvements. Please don't extrapolate your own opinions to the entire community, the awkwardness exists in your mind only.

I tried to choose my words carefully, Miguel. I did not state that I was certain of anything and was simply offering my opinion, as I recall other members have done so before me close to this matter.
But I will add that it is possible the majority of players at Queen Alice are perfectly happy with the site as it is, whether or not they choose to donate.
You know, I was trying to be helpful by drawing some attention to an issue I imagine might benefit from further discussion. Perhaps you thought I was merely putting the site down. If so, then I apologize for the misunderstanding.
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I would love to see Queen Alice continue to grow and rival other online chess communities. Yet I have to wonder where future development begins and who makes the first move. Although I'm confident that the willingness to be involved is beyond question.

I not support you, Onceupon. Queen Alice is an excellent site to playing correspondence chess. I would not do comparisons with other websites. I find Queen Alice is giving one step ahead everyday and if someone wishes to help is enough doing a donation, for instance. It is not necessary many words for.
