So why partake of it? The simple fact is.if God wanted us to remember Christ's birth.He would have given us the exact date.It's Christ death and resurrection that He wants us to hold dear,that and remembering the sabbath.

Really? And just how do you know that? BTW, He didn't give us the exact dates of the Death or Resurrection, either.
