Judging by the speed st which my tourneys are progressing 3 days would be good.There is only one or two players who make one move every 7 day weather
they are ready or not.I think most people will use the 3 day tourneys.The rest can use 7 day and finish
playing theirs in the year 2010.I also can't see how
the ratings would be affected.

Someone once said variety is the spice of life. So, for those wanting 3 day no vacation tourneys, let's have them. Those wanting longer time controls - let's have those, too!

I think the 7 day tourneys are a little slow. All it takes is one person to use all 7 days just because they can and the tourney takes forever. Some people do that when they are losing. Very poor sportsmanship. 3 Day tourneys would be very good.

I can't make everyone happy, if I switch to 3 day tourneys then people who don't have easy access to the site will complain. If I make 7 day and 3 day tournaments then it will be that there are too many tournaments or some other problem.
I think for server initiated tournaments 7 days/move is reasonable. My intention is to allow members to create their own tournaments and invite whoever they want to play in them. I hope this will satisfy all you who want faster tournaments.
Unfortunately I can only make improvements to the site when I'm out of paid work and have free time, right now I'm pretty busy, so please have a little patience, user tournaments will be here eventually.
