I get an advert for “Bitefight”; complete with running blood, a werewolf and a vampire.
Although, it does instruct me to “Go out on the hunt and satisfy your thirst!” – maybe that’s a euphemism?
Probably best that I don’t ask my non-spousal life-partner for her opinion...

You could try to explain to her that a "summer" hottie is for the summer only, and isn't really any kind of commitment.
I wouldn't personally try it though... really depends how much you want it.

After ten years as a non-spousal life-partner I think that she's fairly familiar with that concept.

"any kind of commitment", are you sure ? in that kind of case, at least you would invest your money, your time, your health, and more than that, you would loose your self-esteem (if you ever got any...), and spoil the relationship you have with your "non-spousal life-partner" (what a word for designing the one you .... love ????).
As we in France say : "dans chaque homme, il y a un cochon qui sommeille", that is "in every man, a pig is sleeping", once again, I can see here that it is true...
