Doing away with Vacation time would make games go faster IMHO. I have had several use this against me to stall for more time. Yet, they are on here daily!

I just took 10 days of vacation, indeed "to stall for more time" (what other purpose does it serve anyway?).
I took 'em because I had something due for around July 1st, and I wasn't in the mood to make moves. I came on a daily basis anyway, reading the forums & looking at my games a bit (I think I played one move during that 10-day period).
Tell me, what's wrong with that?
More generally, what's wrong with someone using their granted possibility of taking vacation time "for the sole purpose of having more time" (which, again, seems to be the only reasonable reason anyone would take vacation time in the first place) ?

I think Vacation Time is pretty self-explanatory.

At the start of a game players might have different amounts of vacation time. That gives one player an unbalanced advantage. I think vacation time should be reduced to 30 days per year but when one player takes time his opponents get the same amount of extra time
