Was "doesn't solve the problem," pertaining to giving opponent extra time when vacation is used. It does help address the inequity of different amounts of vacation time availible at start of game. Reducing 45 days to 30 days lessens the impact. 60 days per year could be used instead of 90.

Why not just have no-vacation tournaments? say a 30/a no vacations tournament for example?

whyBish: that is the fourth suggestion so far on this thread, that I second. So all pitch in for the big summer QA overhaul discussion!! Let's get these tournaments out of the quagmires and all enjoy this site more. Huzzah! Banzai!

PS: 1. Shorter time frame for tournaments as a constant option.
2. Non-vacationable tournaments.
3. Conditional moves.
4. Automatic promotion of clinched winners.
(And might I humbly add) 5. Reduction of the autoclaim by server from 30 to 14 days?
